Q.Will my pre-existing condition be covered when I change health plans?
A.Yes, as long as you have had continuous coverage with no lapse of more than 60 days, pre-existing conditions cannot be excluded from a qualified medical plan.
Q.Do I need a referral from my PCP (Primary Care Physician)to see a specialist?
A.If you have an HMO plan, you usually need to get a referral to see a specialist. With PPO and major medical plans, you can go directly to specialists.
Q.In the event that I leave employment, can I continue my health insurance coverage?
A. Yes. You have the option of state continuation or COBRA by paying your own monthly premium for up to 36 months. You could also apply for an individual plan.
